It's one of those typical stories that only life itself writes; A few years ago, two of the Weibrecht brothers met one of my old companions from their youth in Hamburg because of a joint music production and were looking for hungry young people who they could win for different areas of responsibility at mukken. Luckily, my old buddy was thinking of me, because he knew how close I am to music in general, even if I don't do any music myself, but I approached this large complex of topics from the other side and gained professional experience in the field of music journalism and booking. My activities there and my general enthusiasm for music prompted me to recommend him to others. The rest is history.
The idea of mukken.com and the visionary imagination of Kjell and Leif got me excited from the first second. Honestly, without the necessary vitamin B, it's relatively difficult to get a foot in the door of the music industry and live of it is even more difficult. Innovation and reformation in the industry are my opinion rare and are to hard to find. For me, the whole framework was and is of the project mukken an epitome of sustainable innovation and professionalism. I guess that summarizes why I work for mukken and what I enjoy most: Being able to shape this sphere of activity is the greatest Gift you can give someone in his professional life, for me.
As already indicated in the answers to the previous questions, it is about all the innovative idea and the resulting professional implementation and cooperation with those responsible and everyone else. The creative space that is given to someone like me in my function for the project is full of trust and appreciation, things that I have rarely encountered in my professional life. All of this strengthens my belief in the success of the project and a sustainable idea, which will not only pay off for us personally as designers, but also within the industry, but above all for musicians of all kinds, will offer a decisive advantage that has not yet been seen gave.
It's one of those questions that as a music-loving person is almost impossible to answer; nevertheless I have to name a genre and make it easy for myself: rock music! Everything that this big term for this genre summarizes is the bottom line: the musical genre that has touched me emotionally the most intensively since I consciously listened to music and today reliably does so in all life situations. Rock music is definitely the soundtrack of my life.
A life without music is unthinkable for me. As we all come to realize as we grow older, life is like a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Within those moments, if there was nothing else, it was always the music that was there for me. Music gives me the ability to feel life in the most intense way. Emotions and feelings that one otherwise only experiences through the immediacy of the respective trigger, music has the power to make these also tangible for me.
My All Time Favorites playlist could be hours long and beyond the scope of this post. I'll try to name a handful of songs that mean the world to me: The Black Keys - Little Black Submarines, Elvis Presley - If I Can Dream (Live from the 68 Comeback), Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Quixoticelixer, The White Stripes - Dead Leaves On The Dirty Ground, The Beach Boys - Sail On, Sailor, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Fault Line, Queens Of The Stone Age - Little Sister, Tame Impala - It Is Not Meant To Be, Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
I hope I would be a piano. On the one hand, I played the piano with my grandmother for several years in my youth and learned to love it. I shared some of the most intimate and immediate musical moments of my life with the piano. I always find it impressive to be the master of the piano, but I guess that ultimately applies to every instrument you master.
Professionally, I'm still working as an editor at a well-known television station, but not directly on television, but as part of the Internet editorial team. Furthermore, I travel as often as possible to many parts of the world and do a lot of sports in my free time. I'm interested in modern literature and the great history of philosophy, from then to now. But what fascinates me most is all the phenomena of popular culture, especially drama and, surprisingly, music. I appreciate good food and have a weakness for Italian culture, which is probably also due to the fact that the family on my mother's side comes from this very country. I try to do all of these things as often as possible in my everyday life and they are my main occupations and interests.
