In their new song "Sophie", Welsh prodigies Church Village Collective, or CVC for short, rock a dreamy song about what is probably the most talked-about topic in music history with fantastic nuances, right on cue. The six-piece band infuses their narrative with the appropriate musical drama, taking you intensely through a roller coaster between euphoria and despair. This song is simply here, and hardly needs to explain itself. It needs only to be heard. Yes, "Sophie" already comes across as almost timeless.

A peculiarity, which only the very best love songs in music history have. Admittedly, the song is a bit conceptualized, but it doesn't matter here, because it is the collective feeling of melancholic love that surrounds this song and can connect us all in many different ways. Being connected through a song in life, that is probably the greatest quality music can have. With "Sophie" we can experience this. Yes, these lines read quite pathetic, but the thoughts about "Sophie" do not allow anything else and confirm only the more the feeling of emotion described here.
