About
We are Ivy Creek. Fresh and crispy straight from the oven. We want to make music, be creative, and write, perform, and record our own songs. Our goal is to establish ourselves in the Linz music scene. Currently, we are looking for: Vocals (Alternative/Indie Rock). We are a trio on bass, drums, and guitar (all in our early to mid-20s). We are looking for someone to take over lead vocals (preferably female). Our goal: We would like to rehearse once a week starting in early 2026. From summer/autumn 2026, we want to play up to 5 gigs in Linz and the surrounding area. (We already have some songs and demos ready.) From 2027, we would like to record our first singles and then our first album, as well as perform live (5-15 gigs). Genres/Inspirations: We all listen to a wide variety of styles, but we all come together in Alternative Rock. We'd like to explore our style/sound and incorporate elements of alternative/indie rock, grunge, shoegaze, funk rock, and maybe some folk vibes. Think: The Cranberries, Live, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleetwood Mac, etc. (The list is very long.) We'd like to draw inspiration from these artists, maybe do some covers now and then, but we don't want to limit ourselves to just one genre. Our rehearsal space is in the Mühlviertel region, in the Rohrbach district (no rent, free drinks, carpooling possible from Linz. The location is right on the border with Bavaria, about 30 minutes from Passau, in case anyone from Germany is interested). We've also considered renting a rehearsal space in Linz, but then everyone would have to contribute to the rent. Besides, the cheaper spaces usually don't have nearly the same acoustic quality as our rehearsal space. You'd be a perfect fit if you: have an alternative taste in music, can sing reasonably well in tune and with sufficient resonance, are interested in a band that wants to move forward but also schedules enough time for preparation and relaxation, and are looking for a friendly band atmosphere. The ideal candidate: If you sing professionally or are simply incredibly good, or have a distinctive voice, and perhaps play an instrument (guitar). If you don't play an instrument, it would also be great if you were willing to learn a few simple chords on acoustic or electric guitar (basic chords, power chords). If you're interested, feel free to send me an email: [email protected] Best regards, Vali from Ivy Creek
