I'm a singer-songwriter in my mid-40s from Thurgau, Switzerland, and I'm looking for creative, experienced musicians (guitar, bass, piano/keys, and drums/percussion) who are interested in developing, arranging, and recording my own songs with me. I've currently written six original songs and recorded them as demos with vocals and guitar or piano. More songs will follow. A note about my demos: I'm not an experienced guitarist or pianist, so the instrumental parts aren't always perfectly polished. My main goal was to capture the songs with their melodies, harmonies, and mood, rather than spending months perfecting my technique. After all, my intention is to work out and record the instrumental parts later with experienced musicians. The focus of the demos is on the songs themselves, not on perfect instrumental execution. The song "No Name Yet" currently only has one verse; the rest of the vocals are still phonetically improvised. Stylistically, I move somewhere between singer-songwriter, alternative, folk, and atmospheric sounds. I also find influences from ambient and trip-hop particularly exciting, and I'd like to experiment with those more in the future. I'm not interested in providing finished instrumental parts. I'm looking for musicians who contribute their own ideas and musical signature and enjoy creating something together. I'm also open to new song ideas and collaborative compositions, as long as we're on the same wavelength musically. I envision us initially exchanging demos, gathering ideas, and then meeting in the rehearsal room to experiment and develop arrangements. The primary focus at this stage is on collaboratively crafting the songs with the goal of recording them later in the studio. I'd like to organize the financing for the studio recordings, possibly with support from cultural funding. In the long term, I hope for a musical community that might also lead to joint live performances. I'm not looking for paid studio musicians, but rather people who want to be part of this project out of a love for music and creative exchange. The collaboration is initially intended to be on a voluntary, unpaid basis. We can discuss everything else together. Musical intuition, creativity, openness, mutual trust, and good personal chemistry are important to me.
