Boogielicious
...is a German-Dutch boogie, blues and jazz trio that was founded in 2007 as a duo with Eeco Rijken Rapp (piano, vocals) and David Herzel (drums), but a year later became even more homogeneous and varied as a trio with Dr. Bertram Becher 's blues harmonica. Boogielicious is currently one of the most unusual boogie formations on the scene in Europe, catapulting the very popular music of the 20s, 30s and 40s into the current century. The three musicians have now worked their way up to the top ranks of their genre with their six albums. While the media was amazed at the consistent quality of the debut album “Boogielicious” by Eeco Rijken Rapp and David Herzel (press reviews: “effortless, weightless, simply wonderful” ), the unmistakable, typical sound of the trio on the following albums is also characterized by the blues harmonica, which is rarely used in boogie. The live performances are always celebrated highlights of the concert season and the “Boogielicious” venture has also reached a new dimension internationally. The band's enormous joy in playing is not only passed on to the audience at their numerous successful concerts in Germany, but also at concerts in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, England and Portugal. Boogielicious is a trio that electrifies lovers of handmade music and delights boogie woogie fans, old rock'n'rollers and traditional jazz and blues fans alike. The three musicians impress with their incredible virtuosity , the uniqueness of their repertoire and their brilliant interplay - jazz seems to be a way of life for them! Boogielicious reaches out to listeners far beyond boogie woogie and blues and their authentic and down-to-earth sound is now attracting many young fans to their concerts! In short and as the band name suggests: delicious boogie woogie and more!
