Downbeat Alley Band

The five musicians of the Mainz-based band Downbeat Alley take their audience on a journey through the soulful moments of pop history. From Ray Charles and Motown hits of the 70s to Britney Spears and Daft Punk, funk and soul connect musical styles across decades. Since 2018, Downbeat Alley has been arranging pop, funk, and soul classics together. The band members draw inspiration from bands like the American indie music duo Pomplamoose, as well as funk cover bands Scary Pockets and CoolKillers, and from all the pop, funk, and soul legends of the last few decades.
