Ely lee Violinist

Ely Lee started playing violin when she was 6 years old, and playing viola four years later. Born Asturias (Spain), she studied at the Conservatory of Music "Eduardo Martínez Torner" in Oviedo and later she got a Master degree in perfomance from Mannes College of Music in New York City. Since she was little has been influenced by different genres of music such us: Rock, Metal, Pop, Folk, Jazz, Experimental and others. These genres convined with her classical studies create the unique sound of ElyLee's performances. She has performed with different ensembles and orchestras at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Lang Center. She won the second prize of the "New York Artists International Competition" in 2015. Ely Lee also recorded for different artists such us Michael Bacon and Colin Huggins in NYC and bands like Arc de Triomf and Sound of Silence.Since 2009 she fronts the punkrock band "Zombie Dolls" (vocals and guitar) winning the TV-Show "FestiAmas competition" in 2014. She has played with Asturias symphony and different ensembles and bands in Spain, at that moment she combined performing with teaching. Ely has been a member of New Age Trio performing for Carnival Cruise Lines being part of the live show “Celestial Strings” by the Director Paul Roberts during 6 years. She also produces her own covers and original music.
