I broke with metal and rediscovered it. My background was always death metal – my heroes were bands like Carcass, Suffocation, and The Black Dahlia Murder, and they formed the foundation for several of my own band projects. At some point, I made a conscious break: out of the scene, open to everything else that was happening musically – and that's when the aha moment came. Today, I'm focused on fusions of metal and other genres. I already have many ideas and songs with this style in the works.
