Born in 1966, I've been musically active since the age of nine – classical lessons on the home organ and piano, and many years playing semi-professionally in a regular dance cover band. I haven't been in a regular band for about 15 years, but I've remained musically active: I have my own basement studio, play regularly, and continuously work on my sound, timing, and repertoire. Musically, I move within the pop, rock, and R&B genres with jazzy and funky influences. The focus is on covers, which are selected, arranged, and developed collaboratively. For me, it's about togetherness, listening, and groove. I'm open to joining an existing band as well as developing a joint project where goals and parameters can be defined together. No metal, no classical jazz, no alt-rock – and no free improvisation without a clear structure. What's important to me: - listening to each other and responding musically - focused, relaxed rehearsals without pressure - collaboratively developing pieces is more important than fixed performance goals - good sound in the rehearsal room (and, of course, live when the opportunity arises) - contemporary song selection instead of "played a thousand times before" - music that we enjoy and that resonates with the audience. Vocals play a central role for me: vocally secure, musically attentive, and groove-oriented. Singers without much band experience are also welcome if their voice and feel are a good fit. Performances may arise but are not the primary focus. The emphasis is on the joy of playing, quality, and respectful collaboration as equals.
