Benedikt Sanoll Singer

life and musical development

Benedikt Sanoll was born on April 1st, 1998 in Bolzano. He is a passionate young musician, instrumentalist and composer/singer-songwriter and tenor in choirs such as the Landesjugendchor Südtirol.
His main instruments are singing (both modern and classical) and the guitar, but he also plays French horn and piano, mainly to accompany himself while singing.

His strengths include a broad repertoire of different styles, whereby he accompanies himself either on the guitar or the piano and a relatively large vocal range of a good three octaves. He also has various stylistic devices to create different timbres and sounds with his voice.

There is no clear point in time for him when music played a role in his life. Music has always been a part of his family, so he was practically born into it and grew up with it. Music was and is his constant companion, so to speak.

He has always been interested in the versatility, creativity and freedom of experimenting and discovering music and thus continued to educate himself in the areas in which he felt like it. The basics were always his prior knowledge and his influences, which he tried to analyse, reproduce and experiment with.

In autumn 2018 he finally began his studies at the Mozarteum in Innsbruck (instrumental music education in jazz/pop singing and guitar) and later also studied "instrumental singing pedagogy" at the conservatory in Innsbruck.
He immediately realized that this path was the right one for him and decided that he wanted to be a professional musician.
