In Konstanz, I made several attempts to build a garage punk band with my friend Hauke as a guitarist. Then I moved to Bremen. There, I formed an undogmatic pop-core band with "Rasta-van Dong." After a few gigs, I unfortunately thought I had to say goodbye to punk and become a DJ. Then came a long period as a father of two kids. In the meantime, I dabbled a bit in folk and jazz. Now I want to get back into it. I think Gen Z with "Pogendroblem" and "Akne Kid Joe" is really awesome. It's a kind of anger, wit, and irony based on three chords. I can play bass, electric guitar, and backing vocals. I could switch between them. What about you? You should be just as open-minded as "punkies." It's great when everyone contributes ideas and something is created together. Depending on the song, I also like excursions into Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW), reggae, or even hardcore. Ian McCay from Fugazzi called his music a mix of stogges and reggae. Yes, something interesting can happen that way, without it having to be overly "technically" good. The main thing is expressing joy and anger. I think it came across that I'm no "rocker" ;-)
