I love being outdoors. Preferably barefoot. Hiking. Walking the dog. Running. Sometimes going to small concerts. But I also like being lazy. Daydreaming. Oh yeah... I still have to work too 😂
I've always wanted to make music. I loved bands even as a little boy. Now that my children are grown, I've finally found the patience and time to really get into it, and quite unexpectedly realized that the bass is my instrument. Not the guitar, as I always thought. My dream would be to meet like-minded people who perhaps also found their way later in life. Or who don't mind starting something with an older beginner on bass. I'm already ambitious, I'm taking lessons now, and I'm especially passionate about composing and experimenting together. For me, music is more about feeling and trying things out, exploring new paths, discovering myself, and not just simply playing something. So a cover band wouldn't be for me. Just a few people to make and create music together. I imagine that would be absolutely wonderful! Whether it might eventually lead to gigs or something similar, I'll just see what happens.
Maybe a drum kit? At least you'd always have a cool soundtrack while you're getting beaten up 😂
Music has always been a part of my life. Ever since I was a child, I always had these melodies stuck in my head... In my mind, I'm a really good singer too 😜 My parents got me hooked on Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and the like as a kid, and throughout my youth, I especially loved 60s and 70s rock and krautrock. Gradually, I expanded my horizons to metal and, above all, alternative music. I always wanted to make music myself. I tried it with the guitar as a teenager but gave up too quickly. Then life got in the way. And it wasn't until my early 40s that I realized I'm not a guitarist at all, but a bassist. And yes, I love my bass and practice diligently. We'll see where it takes me. Better late than never, I guess... It feels really good to finally just do it 😊
