About
Hey everyone, fellow music lovers and heavy metal fans! I'm Antje from Hamburg (Altona). Music has been a part of my life forever: I discovered my voice in kindergarten and terrorized all the other kids with my first original songs, sang in various children's choirs, and later, at the tender age of 19, found my niche in rock, grunge, alternative, punk, and ska. Later on, I added reggae and a strong affinity for good 80s music and 70s rock. So, I'm not particularly dogmatic about music and consider genre boundaries more of a rough guide. As a teenager, I sang in a ska band, and for about eight years now, I've been singing in a rock choir. Over the years, we've performed at Santa Pauli, Wacken, the Markthalle, and Elbriot. Stage fright is rare these days, and when it does occur, I'm pretty well-socialized. I also play the saxophone. Not at the level of "Please give me a solo," but definitely at the level of "This could work really well in a band, but I'd need to brush up on my skills first." I think that's a realistic and therefore quite pleasant self-assessment. What I'm missing now is a band again, instead of just singing in a choir. I'd love to sing in a band in western Hamburg, with regular rehearsals, a good atmosphere, and, if the opportunity arises, of course, a few gigs here and there. Evenings and weekends are usually perfect (except Tuesdays). Stylistically, I'm pretty open: rock, punk, ska, alternative, reggae, 70s and 80s music. Or a combination that, on closer inspection, isn't really definable. As long as the music is good and people enjoy it, everything's perfect for me. So, if you're looking for a singer who's reliable, enjoys being on stage, and doesn't take herself too seriously musically, I'd love to hear from you! Rock on, Antje
