Mzee Schwendrik No. One has made the most of his time: Having arrived in Bonn with plenty of band experience, he devoted himself to rap and over the years freestyled his way through all of Bonn's student parties and the few clubs in the city. He always preferred to play the music live rather than DJing it. After a few line-up changes, flight mode has been active in this respect since 2019: With Tobi on cello, there is a long-standing constant, Jan is back on drums, who was responsible for rhythm in the old Reimgeil days. John on guitar joined in 2018. Ex-Black Currant bassist Martin completed the setup in 2021. From an acoustic trio, flight mode blossomed into a full band lineup. Tightness, wit and funk sense characterize the sound, crossover overtones form the echo of the past: the nineties are never over. At the end of 2022, the long-awaited album "From Babylon to Bonn", recorded during the lockdown, was finally released. A few concerts later, many new songs are on the way and give hope for an eventful live year in 2024.
