About
Hello, I play drums, practice, and also like to teach. I'm not Miss Fancy by any means, but rather play in a down-to-earth, tidy, and song-oriented way. I feel most like practicing when there are new challenges, in the form of new songs and new styles. I've just written a workbook and developed a game to go with it. During the Corona period, I started teaching myself to play the electric bass and I love it. In terms of level at this point, I consider myself a very motivated advanced beginner. I write song lyrics and for the songs I've written so far, I've designed and recorded all the grooves and bass lines myself. Writing song lyrics is my greatest passion. However, I can't put them to music on my own, as I can't sing particularly well, nor do I play a melodic instrument. Up to this point, I've played a lot in bands and had a bunch of gigs in the usual locations (bars, pubs, city festivals). I had a singer-songwriter duo. We worked together for about a year and a half and developed about fifteen songs during that time. Working creatively together meant a lot to me and was productive in a nice way. I would like to work like that again. At the moment I play bass in one band and drums in another, I continue to write lyrics and develop rough ideas for the sound. I would like to take that further, with people who are into working creatively together on an equal footing. That could be an individual or a band that is primarily interested in songwriting and not so much in cover songs. What moves me in terms of songwriting are stories from everyday life and people. What I don't do is political songwriting.
