Janne Singer

Hey! I grew up surrounded by music (classical), with piano, accordion, and clarinet lessons. Unfortunately, my parents were very demanding and, through a lot of pressure to perform, rather dampened my enjoyment of music. I only really started to enjoy it when, as a teenager/young adult, I was able to play in symphonic wind orchestras (on clarinet) and as a saxophonist in a big band. It wasn't until I got older (and more mature, hehe) that I "reclaimed" it – especially through singing, which didn't have any negative associations for me from my childhood. I've sung in bands and choirs on and off, also solo, and occasionally supported smaller projects with (background) vocals. Nevertheless, music is incredibly important to me. And I definitely miss making music together in my life; it's really taken a backseat in recent years, which is why I'm now actively looking around! I'm looking for a great band where I can contribute. Funk is my (secret) passion, but I also enjoy many other genres. I'd also love to work with spiritual bands/mantras/colorful cover bands/a cappella groups. I see myself more in the background/support roles than as the lead, especially at the beginning.
