Hey! I'm Alex, and I'm trying to set up a project that's very close to my heart! I want to start a metal band that strives to cross genres and break free from any basic musical patterns. The band draws heavily on bands like Sumac, Old Man Gloom, Botch, Fluisteraars, Caspar Brötzmann Massaker, and Baroness. These are just suggestions of what the band could sound like. I'm currently looking for a drummer who is willing to play complicated rhythms, is learning or able to play blast beats, and is open to free improvisation! Several songs are already written and just waiting to be played! However, I would like to emphasize that I leave it up to the drummer how the drum parts are played, as it has to be a collaborative process! Some of the songs transition into noise passages where there is also free improvisation. But there are also songs that are more for stomping. Hopefully that wasn't too much text!
