Music isn't a hobby or a product for me, but a space for reflection. It helps me sort through things that can't be organized otherwise: feelings, doubts, observations, contradictions. Some songs arise from restlessness, others from gratitude, or from the attempt to capture something before it disappears. Music keeps me awake, honest, and connected—to myself and to others.
I would be a Rhodes piano. Warm, a little rough, never completely clean, but direct in feeling. It can provide a restrained accompaniment or suddenly fill the space without becoming loud. And it sounds best when you give it time.
I have no ambitions for big stages or loud promises. My journey leads more to the small pub around the corner. To where people sit close together, listen, nod, smile – and maybe, for a moment, are a little happier than before. I want to play songs that evoke something without being intrusive. Music that leaves space, connects, and makes an evening warmer. If someone goes home with a song in their head and a calmer feeling, then it was exactly right.
I have 5 children. That should answer the question sufficiently.
