BURON was born at a jam session on a beautiful evening at the Buronhütte in the Allgäu. Since then, the band has been constantly on the move and has over 150 shows a year as a cover band, party band and wedding band.
What to expect at a BURON gig. Anyone who now thinks of two guys with acoustic guitars and an evening in the style of Simon & Garfunkel is far from it. The Burons around Martín Kilger are thoroughbred musicians and multi-instrumentalists and have set themselves the task of making the audience dance with a lot of groove, two-part singing and cool show interludes. A BURON gig is a party! Musically it is a journey through the different genres such as reggae, funk, blues, rock and pop based on well-known songs that everyone knows.
Martin Kilger, originally from Heidelberg, but a thoroughbred musician who recently emigrated from Hamburg to the Allgäu. The former "son of Mannheim" uses various instruments, composes and arranges in his own studio and has earned a respectable name as a solo artist in the music scene over the years. So he was still on tour in Germany with Joe Cocker and also stopped at the Schellfischposten in Hamburg for a wonderful duet with Ina Müller at Ina's night. Martin has also appeared as a film and video director. Among other things, he shot clips for Jack Wolfskin and music videos for Naidoo, which have already been nominated for the Echo and the Comet.
Since the idea of BURON was born at the Buron Hütte in 2016, the gentlemen have been constantly working on reinterpreting songs and bringing them to the stage. Since then, the repertoire has been constantly expanding with songs by Mando Diao, Lenny Kravitz and Oasis, but also big rock numbers by Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and Tom Petty. The sentiment rate is over 100% and that is also the claim of the Burons. Music is only fun when it is connected with enthusiasm. And there are always surprises at BURON's performances, have you ever seen a musician play a funk bass on an acoustic guitar? Or have you ever heard the Spider Murphy Gang's "Schickaria" in a cool Chicago Blues version?
...then it's time...see you on the next show and dance like never before!
