About
Mixtape Meltdown is a cover band from the Rhine-Main area, made up of five members who come from a time when music was still handmade and not easily available from the Internet. MP3s had not yet been invented and if you wanted to take "your" music with you somewhere or share it with others, you had to copy it onto a cassette - the ever-popular mixtape. On our mixtape we present you handmade, live rock music as our very own versions of grooving, rousing and, above all, danceable and party-worthy songs from the past, yesterday and today.

Get to know

We have all been making music in various line-ups for many years and we really enjoy it. But we all have a "real" job and friends and family who play an important part in our lives. We are too old for a big career, but that shouldn't stop us from getting our audience dancing and partying at up to 10 gigs a year.

Our music consists exclusively of cover songs. However, we want to stand out from the crowd of cover bands and have therefore decided to develop a program outside the mainstream. To do this, we choose party and dance songs from the last few decades and arrange them in a rock form. Examples of this are songs by Eurythmics but also Billie Eilish and Britney Spears.

We usually rehearse once a week in an undivided, 24/7 available rehearsal room in Nauheim near Groß-Gerau. The rehearsal room offers everything you need - from the appropriate system and recording options to toilets, parking spaces and a usually well-stocked refrigerator.

Each of us has a permanent job but our backgrounds are very diverse. We know some of each other from previous bands, we know what we have in each other and we are open and honest with each other. We all live our own lives, but the band and its members are happy to be a part of it.
