Philipp Saxophonist

As a saxophonist, I'm probably the classical music student - it started with a French horn at the age of 9. At the age of 14 I had had enough of Taschikowsky & Co. and discovered the saxophone. Above all, I quickly had the jazz classics on the program with my piano teacher and we even appeared at school performances. After graduating from high school, I did community service and, blessed with plenty of time, I played in a soul and funk band in Cologne with my girlfriend at the time. After 2.5 years and many small performances, the breakup came a la Commitments. The attempt to study music simply failed because of my discipline :-) - and I began to gain a foothold in the astronomy and hotel industry.

Many cities, hotels, trips and years without making music myself, I ended up in Rotenburg an der Wümme. The Wachtelhof always has a pianist at the bar on Fridays and Saturdays and I immediately felt like picking up an instrument again.

Then the Auenland Young Orchestra came into my life. The orchestra was looking for a baritone saxophonist - a great instrument which I also played with the Soulflakes. Of course one thing led to another and today my musical work is very much influenced by the Young Orchestra Auenland.

Besides that, I still play at the Wachtelhof, mostly on Saturdays from around 9:30 p.m. and as a solo musician with musical support from the band at receptions, weddings or summer parties.
