Boris Schegene Bass player

30 years of experience playing bass, both live and in the studio. I've played jazz, Afro-Cuban music, rock, Zappa covers, ska-punk, and theater projects. I'm currently developing a new quintet project. The vision: I combine an authentic '59 Precision vintage sound (warm, woody, stripped-down) with modern jazz harmonies and reharmonizations. The goal is an urban, earthy sound that makes no compromises, technically or harmonically. I'm looking for fellow musicians who are unwavering in their sense of timing and are keen on a mix of soul-jazz aesthetics and high-end improvisation.
