Hi, I'm Sven. I've been playing drums for over 20 years (including a few breaks) and would describe myself as a typical rock/metal drummer. I've played in a few bands and projects in the past, taking part in various demo recordings and live performances.
Musically, I love it when the music sounds melodic and varied without losing a certain heaviness. The typical verse-refrain-verse-refrain-bridge-refrain pattern can be broken. In terms of vocals, it's mostly the English lyrics that I like to hear, since German lyrics often sound rather flat to me (not all of them).
Here are a few examples: Kvelertak, Darkest Hour, Machine Head, August Burns Red, In Flames, Counterparts, Comeback Kid, Rise Against, Ignite, ...
Depending on the mood, I also listen to a few singer/songwriter things.
Since I have a fairly regular routine at work and in my private life, the ambitious days of playing the drums are over and I'm more interested in having fun with my hobby. I would like to trade the lonely practice on the e-drumset in the apartment for making music together in the rehearsal room, preferably with nice people of course ;-)
