ABOUT The Salty Saints searched, found and founded themselves in the middle of Hamburg's old town in 2015. After a short time, the different musical backgrounds of the five lively, live and studio-proven musicians resulted in an energetic program of American rock, British blues rock with unexpected detours into pop and funk style. The quintet primarily writes and composes its own songs, which are characterized by multi-faceted, tube-reinforced, powerful guitar, Leslie and Hammond organ sounds, polyphonic backings and the distinctive, emotional voice of lead singer Manuel (who also regularly performs on stage alone as a singer/songwriter St. Pauli and relevant clubs in northern Germany make it unsafe) permanently screwed into the ear canal. Everything plugged in, sometimes polished, sometimes raw, always authentic and above all with soul. Various gigs were already played in 2017-2019 (including Knust / HH, Wheelfire Festival / Neumünster, Hanse Ahoi / Buxtehude, Räucherei / Kiel etc.). In 2020, almost all gigs had to be canceled or postponed until next year due to corona. In 2021, some shows were finally able to be played again, including a sold-out sit-down concert at Knust in Hamburg, as well as a memorable event at RARE GUITAR in Münster. We remain optimistic despite all the pandemic turmoil! – Booking for 2022 is already underway. Support live music! The stage-free time was still very creative. Our EP “Walk on water” was produced in the German madness studio (St. Pauli), two songs were videofied and released. We are currently writing and composing new material with great enthusiasm.
