Manfredo del Marte Singer

Hi, I'm Manfredo, and I've been making music since I was 16—more for the joy of it than with any ambition to become a rock star. I currently sing in a metal choir, play the (acoustic) guitar halfway decently, and also enjoy writing my own songs (see the video link in my profile; I recorded this solo on multi-track about a year ago using amateur equipment). But I also enjoy adapting pop songs into metal/speed rock or simply doing covers when the mood strikes me. I'm all about the fun of it, the human interaction, and doing things together. A bit of ambition is fine, though—neither too dogged nor too relaxed. I love being on stage and do karaoke nights in the neighborhood, where I always try to scare away all the Wolle Petrys with System Of A Down, Five Finger Death Punch, and Dank Jones. I'm just happy when things rock. Personally: I have two daughters who alternate weekly – one is currently becoming quite the center of attention, the other is a really good singer. So, music is a family affair for us. I'm currently looking for a band or project in the speed rock/metal/punk genre (preferably with acoustic elements).
