Soula Singer

Music saved me. For years I didn't allow myself to feel. I couldn't cry, I couldn't be happy, I couldn't laugh. But through music I felt happiness, love, sadness, pain and much more. I allowed myself to feel again.

I would be a guitar. I was given a guitar a year ago and it's called Soula. I can't really play the guitar very well but I'm learning bit by bit. I've always hoped to get my guitar out at the campfire and start playing. I love the idea of sitting in the van and writing my own songs. I know that sooner or later my guitar and I will go on a trip together.

I would like to write my own songs to process my experiences and to touch people out there who might be going through the same thing. Of course, I dream of being on stage. And I hope that I can do it one day, even if I'm not a professional.

I live with my husband and our two dogs. My husband is my little fan when I sing and also my motivator - without him I wouldn't even have my guitar. I work, but to be honest I just don't really fit into the working world. I've always told myself that I want to earn money with music when I grow up. But it's not about money for me - it's more about living my life the way I want.
