The Arcs Band

With a skilful fusion of blues, soul and garage rock, a band project from the north-east of the USA manages a rare feat, which seems both retro and modern and thus results in a rich and engaging sound. The Arcs are a band that stands out musically for their ability to be multi-layered. The passion and virtuosity of their work undoubtedly define their own ability to combine diverse musical elements in a way that is both familiar and surprising, setting them apart from many of their genre cousins. The Arcs, initiated by Dan Auerbach, the frontman of the blues rock duo The Black Keys, started this special project in 2015. Together with extraordinary musicians such as Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss and Nick Movshon, melodies and lyrics full of subtlety, artistic and experimental were created. Their songs often sound like they come from another time, but never seem backwards. This balancing act between the classic and the contemporary has been a key element of their sound from the start. With songs like "Outta My Mind", "Put A Flower In Your Pocket" and "Stay In My Corner", the charismatic singing of a Dan Auerbach leads through the music, which is perfectly provided with a bluesy undertone, with a rough and soulful quality. He knows how to convey emotions in a way that is both authentic and captivating.
