About
About me: I've been playing guitar since 1989. My journey began classically on the nylon-string guitar until I switched to the electric guitar in 1996. In the late 90s, I added the 7-string, and since 2010, I've been passionately playing the 8-string. At the same time, I discovered the baritone guitar (focusing on 6-string instruments). I've also been using the bass as a production instrument since 2004. Stylistic development: Starting with punk, grunge, and thrash/speed metal, my interests evolved throughout the 2000s towards progressive sounds. While speed took a backseat at times, stoner, doom, and post-metal gained in importance. The low tuning of the instruments has given me a strong affinity for anything heavy, dark, and atmospheric. Unusual time signatures (Tool, Meshuggah, Mudvayne) are now standard for me – but of course I can also play 4/4 time if the song calls for it. ;) Current projects & search: Death Metal Band (in formation): Here come the speed metal escapades – very dark and technical. A mix of 95s old school (Death Angel, Cannibal Corpse), Fear Factory staccato, and dissonant sounds à la Ulcerate. We play 7-string guitars (Drop-A), mostly in even time signatures. A great singer is already on board. 👉 We're looking for: A skilled drummer! SloBurn Metal Project: Dissonant, atmospheric, and extremely low-tuned (F1 with sub-bass F0). Influences from Paradise Lost to Bongripper. The lineup (singer, bass, and guitar) is set, but we're currently stuck in "production hell" due to a lack of a drummer. 👉 We're looking for: A drummer who's up for creating massive walls of sound!
