SektSpätStück Band

SektSpätTeil works like much later sparkling wine in a row for the ear and soul. In June 2021, the Thüringer Allgemeine newspaper described us as "cheeky, but anything but unsympathetic". In our studio recordings, we embroider texts woven from puns into an indie-pop soundscape. Live, we transform our songs into acoustic arrangements, which we perform with ukulele, guitar and double bass in an intoxicating manner. Our voices received a noticeable amount of feedback. After our concerts, viewers are always so touched that they desperately look for comparisons for what they have just experienced. "June sounds like Nina Hagen, Marla Glen, Björk, Diamanda Galás and Judith Holofernes had a daughter together." Big names like Marius Müller Westernhagen, Rio Reiser and AnnenMayKantereit were used for Tim. Sinahi hasn't performed her voice live with us yet. But the samples suggest very nice things.

Tim has been a professional musician for eight years and is already firmly anchored in the Hessian indie pop scene with other bands such as Einsneunzig, Eva Niedermeier and Bazuka. He was not deterred by the canceled festival gigs in the first Corona summer, but used the lockdown to also make music in Berlin with his roommate June. SektSpätstück was born.

Before Corona, June was an activist for workshops and demonstrations all over Germany. In order to be able to do justice to the performance and recording offers of SektSpätTeil in summer 2021, she quit her job as team leader at Aktion gegen den Hunger. Since then, SektSpätTeil can be seen more often on the streets and stages of this country. Although the funds generated from this are limited, the potential of SektSpätTeil is fortunately very different. This is symbolized by the live theater session, which will be available on YouTube on July 15, 2021 with Sarah Lehnert (Y-Kollektiv, Spiegel, taz, n24, Die Zeit) and Nils Borzym (Footprint Project) as a music video of our second song, the "War Song" appeared.

Sinahi has been part of the band with her double bass for two months and with her basslines she takes the SektSpätTeil songs to a whole new level. She has previously toured the world with a professional orchestra and is currently studying music education. She also has a second, very dreamy, cuddly music project that will soon be releasing its first EP. Not only musically, but also personally, it fits very well between the three of us. For us, rehearsals and joint recordings in the studio are something that we enjoy doing regularly and also extend them with one or the other drink and conversation.
