I started performing publicly as an electric bass player at the age of 16. Later I studied double bass up to the concert exam and then played in a symphony orchestra (Leipzig) for 5 years, after which I mainly taught (NK, SB, Sulzbach and WND). At the moment I would like to find fellow musicians who enjoy mainly quiet music (ECM), which can range from "beautiful" melodies to musical experiments. The double bass is my instrument of choice today. I love to play highly emotional - from lovely to ugly - in a quiet context to reflect the full range of emotions of human existence. Nevertheless, I am not stylistically fixed. I am interested in all kinds of music - but it has to be "honest", ie it should come from my own experience and feelings. I also have nothing against electronic ingredients or any experimentation. However, the most important thing for me is that you are on the inside with friends on the stage. I don't want to have a professional distance to my fellow musicians - I'd rather stay at home and play alone or record something for the web.
