Axel Holzhausen Accordionist

I'm Axel and I've been playing the accordion 🪗 since I was 12. I had a few years of music lessons and also played in an accordion orchestra during that time. After a few years playing dance music with my dad (he's the one who got me into accordion), I accompanied the solo trumpeter @Roger Meads for two years before spending another two years as a solo entertainer. That was with a keyboard (a SOLTON Ketron X1), but it wasn't really for me. So I didn't play any music for a good ten years 🙃🤷🏼‍♂️. In 2020, my dad gave me his old accordion. I started playing again and have been more hooked than ever ever since. These days, though, I play the Roland FR-8X... because my left shoulder can't handle any more strain. I love the instrument and its versatility. I currently perform actively as a soloist, accompany the shanty choir Gimbte e.V., and was also in the rock band "2 Sides of Live" and other small projects for a while.
