Hi everyone! I grew up in the Lower Taunus region with three younger siblings and half-siblings. My choices regarding where to live, my career, and my instrument were a bit of a back-and-forth affair, and a few years ago I was drawn back to the Taunus foothills. At the age of five, I loved singing just as much as Janet Gardner, my biggest idol. And that's despite the fact that, unlike her, I didn't feel like I lived in a place where the foxes and hares said goodnight to each other and there was nothing else to do but sing all day long. However, the grueling divorce battle between my parents and the subsequent instability of my living and school situation put me off singing, and my first tape recording of myself didn't exactly inspire confidence. It's a shame, because in my youth I would have loved to be the rhythm guitarist or bassist and lead singer of an amateur rock band. Ultimately, I made the electric bass my main instrument and gained some live performance experience with it. Back in the Taunus region, in my late forties, I finally found the love of my life, a very nice retiree. But our happiness was far too short-lived; before our third anniversary, he suffered a severe stroke, was in a coma for two weeks, and died. In recent years, I've become increasingly dissatisfied with being limited to instrumental work; my expectations regarding singing evolved from "not at all" to background and cover vocals, and finally to lead. At the same time, I've been diligently working on my vocal skills and still take singing lessons. I now have a PA system with a UHF handheld microphone and a deep, bluesy voice that ranges from smoky to edgy, which has already garnered me enthusiastic comments ("goosebumps," "sexy," "really hot"). With a vocal range of 1.75 octaves, I can hit every note perfectly using only my chest voice, which is even sufficient for Vixen's "Love Made Me" (my favorite song) and only requires a slight adjustment of the melody for a few rock numbers. That said, I do sometimes sing songs with key changes if that suits my voice better. Regarding my technique, musicians consider me an advanced beginner with great potential as a lead singer. The highlight of my "musical career" so far was a spontaneous guest appearance with a band at a neighborhood festival in May 2026. Currently, I'd like to put together a beginner/returning musician band, preferably with instrumentalists who can also sing backing vocals. It would be a shame if the keyboardist or rhythm guitarist had to sit idly by for 90% of the songs, and both of them for another 5%. Thank you for your interest, and see you soon!
